All Good @ Aldi

A couple years back I was having dinner at my "moms" house and it was so good. I asked her what she put in it and her response was " I got it from Aldi, its a stir fry in a bag". NOW Moms can cook and this didnt taste like anything out of a bag, i was sure she dressed it up. "Ok then what all did you do to it"....."nothing I added a lil  more veggies and meat but thats it". I would have believed maybe bottled sauce and frozen veggies but surely not Aldi's. After this run in Aldi's kept popping up it was only when I went to my sisters house and she started ravin' about Aldi's did I decide that maybe I should go. See she shared the horror stories of shopping at Aldi. We HATED & DREADED being sent to Aldi's growing up. I will just say that was not where the "classy" folk went for groceries. We would make sure and take the namebrand grocery store chain bags with us so no one would know we just came from Aldi because where we lived if you were walking down the street with a box of groceries, you either came from the food pantry or Aldi's neither earned you braggin rights and both got you talked about or pitied upon. Anyway, I happened to be walking down a yuppy buppy froo froo she she with it hipster IT factor type area of town and saw the prettiest Aldi ever. Thats when I decided let me see what this new hype is about. Now those who know me know I am far from the uppity type I shop wherever I like thrift stores, flea markets and garage sales being some of my fav spots but my shoes are only brand new and top of the line. In my book Aldi was good for when you have a large gathering and need a bunch of cheap pop, chips and hot dog buns, cheap groceries the quality didnt need to be all great. Not for doing my REAL grocery shopping.
Being older and I believe wiser, not caring about "the kids making fun of me", having bills and such needing to pinch pennies where I can so I can continue to drink my daily white chocolate mocha from Starbucks passionately called the "evil bean" ;o), buy whats necessary organic from Wholepaycheck...I mean Wholefoods, kid #2 in private school and saving for kid #1's college tuition that is coming up shortly, I finally made it into ALDI.....I have decided to take you on the journey with me throught he Aldi shelves as I try out the products....
